Otto works as a conveyor for a food store in Budapest. When his van breaks down during a countryside delivery, he finds himself on an archaeological excavation site. Otto spends one day on the excavation.

“I wanted to make a film about archaeology, about an outsider man who encounters distant past for a long time. I’m obsessed about the distant past and the Roman era, I’m interested in what happened that time. In the antiquity the Hungarian territories were the largest provinces of the Roman Empire.”

– György Mór Kárpáti, director of Provincia
